How to Order:
I will soon be selling via PAYPAL but, for now, if you would like to use your credit card for your order, please call 808.216.1431 to process your order. We are currently accepting credit cards. Any standard or custom order purchase can be made by contacting akaleicreations@aol.com com or by calling 808.216.1431. The following credit cards are accepted: VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Credit Cards are processed through Apstar Financial Credit Card Services and all transactiions are handled with care. You can trust that your privacy and personal information will be protected; guaranteed. Your information is never shared with anyone! Other methods of payment: personal checks (order processed after check has cleared), cashiers check, money order. All orders must be paid in full prior to shipping. Most orders are usually shipped within two weeks; most often, sooner.

All designs are as you see them in the gallery based on availablility of the exact piece (if not sold) and the availability of the materials. Most creations can be custom ordered in other colors of gemstones, pearls, crystals, beads and other natural or manmade resources. I have a variety of gemstones and other materials from which you can choose. Every attempt to duplicate a requested design will be made, depending on the materials available. It is important for you to be satisfied with your vision of the designer jewelry you desire. Whether you are looking for a matching necklace and earrings to go with one of my bracelets, simply want one of my existing jewelry designs in a different metal or gemstone, want to match something you already have, or want to start from scratch to create a handcrafted designer jewelry piece uniquely your own, I am happy to work with you to create the perfect custom jewelry design. Gold may be substituted for Sterling Silver in many cases but will be sold at a higher and current market price.

I personally hand select all of my gemstones, pearls, handcrafted beads and most metals to guarantee the best quality. Because each piece of jewelry on my site is handcrafted, every piece is unique and may not be able to be duplicated exactly. Even when creating the same design using the same materials, subtle variations inevitably occur, much like a fingerprint, and no two pieces of jewelry are identical; please allow for subtle variations in your custom jewelry order. Your satisfaction is is very important and every effort will be made to make sure you are happy with your jewelry.
The Custom Jewelry order process:*
First, take a look at my gallery of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watches and other items to get an idea of my design style. Once you have submitted your inquiry, I will correspond with you via email to work out the details of your custom jewelry design and to give you a quote and time-frame for your handcrafted, custom-designed jewelry order. If you are interested in a design shown on this site, please indicate which item it is by stating the name or by describing the design. The detailed descriptions can be viewed when you click an image to view it larger. If you would like a unique and specialty designer piece of PMC (Precious Metal Clay), either pendant, earrings or charms, then drawings or suggestions for design may be submitted via email. I will do my best to design it according to your vision.

Shipping for any purchase:
Akalei Creations orders will be shipped with the most economical method available using USPS Priority with "Delivery Confirmation" and paid by the buyer. Orders to Alaska and US Mainland can be shipped USPS PRIORITY and UPS ground. If you need an order expedited (overnight or 2-day), or simply prefer a different shipping method, we're happy to accommodate you - please just contact us, prior to placing your order, at akaleicreations@aol.com or via the "Contact" page. USPS PRIORITY is the least expensive method and usually has the quickest delivery times. We recommend that all orders have insurance and must be requested at the time of placing your order; insurance will be paid by the buyer.

INSURANCE:
Protect your mail against loss or damage with insurance. You have several options for adding security to the gifts and merchandise you send.
Express Mail automatically includes $100 of insurance coverage.

Packages usually are shipped 1-4 business days after receiving payment or credit approval, but may take 5-14 days. Once the package is shipped, transit time is usually 3-6 days, although USPS does not guarantee a delivery time period. Please remember that shipping is coming from Hawaii and may be especially delayed around the holidays. Akalei Creations is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
International orders are shipped the best method available as you prefer. It can be UPS or USPS Global Priority. Please specify your preference when you order.
Sales Tax:
Only Hawaii state residents will be charged sales tax 4.712%.
Return Policy:

I honestly feel passionate about each piece that I make. It is my hope that you will love and cherish your jewelry for years to come as much as I have loved designing and creating it. However, if your design is not what you envisioned and expected, returns may be made within 2 weeks of receipt of purchase. Customer must notify Laura at Akalei Creations within 7 days of receipt and get authorization for return prior to shipping back any items. Returned items must be shipped in original packaging within 3 days of authorization. Please package merchandise, with a copy of your invoice, securely in boxes only. Please do not use envelopes of any kind as we cannot accept responsibility for any damages incurred during shipping. Customer pays for any shipping charges for the return, and we recommend that you insure any items you return, as Akalei Creations is not responsible for any items lost or damaged in the mail. Any items returned must be unaltered, unworn, and undamaged – we do not accept used merchandise. Jewelry is very delicate and should be worn as such. However, if your piece has broken (clasp, wiring, etc.) during normal wear, repairs can be done. It is always adviseable to not wear your jewelry in salt water or during bathing. Avoid spraying perfumes and hair products on while wearing your jewelry; especially with pearls.
To help prevent the need for returns on custom orders, all designs have photos and detailed text description. Photos of custom orders will be emailed to buyer before sending to assure satifaction in design as ordered. If you believe you have received a piece of jewelry that has arrived broken, you may send it back to Akalei Creations to be fixed, but you must follow the above authorization request and shipping/return requirements listed above. I will return any jewelry we receive without authorization or improperly packaged. Upon receiving the jewelry, I will inspect the piece. If the breakage is found to be my fault, I will fix the piece for free. Otherwise, I will give you an estimate of the cost for repair. There will be a fee for the replacement of lost earrings and that will be determined based on the style and materials used for the earring. Often I use materials that may no longer be available. Therefore, there is no guarantee that I can make another matching earring but I will try my best to find something to match. |

Wholesale:
Akalei Creations is currently seeking boutiques, galleries, stores and other companies located in Hawaii, the US Mainland, Japan, Canada, Germany, Korea, etc. who are interested in opening a wholesale account. Akalei Creations only sells to qualified wholesale customers who are interested in purchasing designs for the purpose of resale. A minimum purchase may be required. Wholesale inquiries are always welcome! I prefer to make a limited amount of pieces per design to maintain exclusivity with the exception of special circumstances for retailers with multiple store locations. This is handled on an individual basis, and we will discuss this further during the design process. Unique designs in the fine silver Precious Metal Clay are available for accounts and will be exclusive to you and your store and/or company logo, insignia, etc. No matter what, you will be adding beautifully handcrafted work to your store.
